Walailak University School of Education Conducts Intensive Orientation Program for Second-Year Students Prior to Professional Teaching Practice
On 1 May 2026, the School of Education, Walailak University, organized an orientation program for Bachelor of Education students prior to their Professional Teaching Practice II at the Main Conference Hall, Thaiburi Building. The program was designed to prepare students before entering real school environments and to strengthen their development toward becoming professional teachers.
The event was honored by the presence of Associate Professor Dr. Charun Bunyakan, Acting Dean of the School of Education, who delivered the opening remarks and words of encouragement to the students. Dr. Chanokmon Kongyok, Acting Head of the Teacher Professional Experience Center, also provided an overview of the objectives and significance of the program.
The academic sessions included an introduction to the Professional Teaching Practice II handbook by the Teacher Professional Experience Committee to enhance students’ understanding of teaching practicum guidelines and responsibilities in schools. Students also attended a lecture entitled “Classroom Observation Techniques and Behavioral Interpretation” delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Walaiporn Mektrairat, which focused on developing students’ abilities to learn from authentic classroom situations and analyze student behaviors effectively.
In the afternoon, students from each major participated in an assessment of professional attire and personality conducted by faculty members from their respective academic programs.
This orientation program served as an intensive preparation process covering knowledge, professional skills, and personality development. The activities aimed to build students’ confidence before entering teaching practice in schools and to support their growth into professional educators in the future.
