Exchange Faculty Shares Innovative AI Teaching Strategies to Future Educators

The School of Education, Walailak University, participated in an academic knowledge exchange with the College of Education at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), Philippines, through a special lecture session for education students.

On this occasion, Dr.Kiki Juli Anggoro, Assistant Professor and Acting Assistant Dean for International Affairs, delivered a lecture titled “Gen-AI Assisted In-Class Self-Regulation in Blended Learning Classroom: A Case of a Face-to-face Driver Model in an EFL/ESL Context.” The presentation highlighted the use of Generative AI (Gen-AI) to support students’ self-regulated learning in a blended learning environment, enhancing engagement and learning development in English language education contexts.

In addition, Kedkarn Phanwiriyarat shared insights from her teaching experience in a session titled “Exploring AI-Powered Gamified Flipped Classroom in an English-Speaking Course: A Case of Duolingo.” Her presentation demonstrated how a Flipped Classroom approach can be integrated with AI technology and gamified learning platforms to create an engaging, student-centered learning environment.

This activity provided education students with new perspectives on the role of technology in modern teaching and learning, while inspiring future educators to become innovative teachers ready to thrive in an international educational context.
