Walailak University Hosts Network School Meeting for Teacher Professional Experience Training, Advancing Quality Teachers to International Standards
The School of Education, Walailak University, organized a network school meeting for professional teaching experience under the Bachelor of Education program. The event aimed to strengthen collaboration with partner schools and jointly develop approaches to producing high-quality teachers aligned with modern education. The meeting was held on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Bussarakam Meeting Room, 1st Floor, Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum, Walailak University.
The event began with a captivating Thai classical dance performance by students majoring in Thai Dance from the School of Education, showcasing the beauty of Thai arts and culture and leaving a strong impression on participants.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charun Bunyakan, Vice President for Academic Affairs (Humanities and Social Sciences) and Acting Dean of the School of Education, delivered the opening report outlining the objectives of the meeting. The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, who also delivered a special lecture on “Walailak University and World-Class Quality Education Management,” highlighting the university’s direction in enhancing educational quality and producing graduates with international competence.
In addition, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pongpan Compan, Acting Deputy Dean of the School of Education, presented a talk on “Bachelor of Education Program at Walailak University: Towards Producing PREMIUM Teachers,” emphasizing the development of professional teachers equipped with strong academic knowledge, effective teaching skills, and the ability to create educational innovations.
A panel discussion on “Guidelines for Producing Quality Teachers and Key Focus Areas of the School of Education and the School of Science” was also held. The session featured Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charun Bunyakan and the Vice President for Academic Affairs (Science and Technology), who shared perspectives and collaborative approaches between the university and network schools in enhancing teacher education.
Furthermore, Dr. Chanakamol Kongyok, Acting Head of the Teacher Professional Experience Center, presented on “The Pathway of Teacher Professional Experience Training for Bachelor of Education Students at Walailak University,” providing an overview of the training process and student development.
The working team also clarified details regarding Professional Practicum II (for second-year students) and Teaching Internship (for fourth-year students) for Semester 1/2026, ensuring mutual understanding of roles and processes among network schools.
The meeting concluded with an interactive Q&A and discussion session, allowing participants to exchange ideas and provide valuable suggestions for improving the teacher training system and enhancing the quality of teacher graduates.
This event marked a significant step in strengthening collaboration between Walailak University and its network schools, aiming to develop future teachers who are academically competent, professionally skilled, innovative, and committed to the teaching profession, and ready to contribute to the advancement of national education.
