The School of Education ignited dreams and inspired students on their journey to university by sharing experiences and promoting educational inspiration among students at Phunphin Pittayakom School, Surat Thani Province.
On January 12, 2026, more than 300 students, teachers, and administrators from Phunphin Pittayakom School, Surat Thani Province, visited Walailak University for an educational visit designed to broaden students’ perspectives on higher education and inspire them to plan for their future academic and career pathways.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Charun Boonkarn, Vice President for Academic Affairs in Humanities and Social Sciences, warmly welcomed the school administrators, teachers, and students at the Bussarakham Meeting Room, Thep Rattanarajsuda Science Museum Building, Walailak University. The welcoming session provided students with valuable perspectives on university education and encouraged them to begin preparing for an important transition into higher education.
The School of Education, Walailak University, also participated in the activity by providing academic information and sharing educational experiences with the visiting students. Ms. Jeeranan Boonsuk, Academic Officer for Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Social Studies, together with Ms. Chutikarn Srikrod, Academic Officer for Dance Education and Physical Education, introduced students to educational opportunities, university study pathways, and preparation for pursuing a career in the teaching profession.
Throughout the activity, students were encouraged to explore their individual interests, abilities, and aspirations as important factors in selecting suitable university programs. They also received useful information to support their preparation for higher education, including perspectives on choosing an appropriate field of study, setting academic goals, and connecting their educational choices with future career opportunities.
The visit served as a valuable opportunity to connect secondary school students with the university environment and provide them with firsthand exposure to higher education. By engaging with university representatives and learning more about academic opportunities, the students were able to broaden their perspectives, develop greater confidence in planning their futures, and gain inspiration to pursue their educational goals.
The School of Education, Walailak University, is delighted to be part of this meaningful learning experience and remains committed to promoting educational opportunities for young learners. We sincerely hope to welcome the students of Phunphin Pittayakom School back to Walailak University in the future—not only as visitors, but also as members of the Walailak University community.
