Walailak University School of Education Holds Teacher Intern Naming Ceremony and Orientation Program for the 2026 Academic Year
The School of Education, Walailak University, organized an orientation program for Bachelor of Education students prior to their teaching practicum on 30 April 2026 at the Main Conference Hall, Thaiburi Building. A highlight of the event was the “Teacher Intern Naming Ceremony: Honoring the Dignity of the Teaching Profession,” which aimed to foster pride and awareness of the responsibilities and values associated with being a teacher.
During the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Charun Bunyakan, Acting Dean of the School of Education, together with Associate Professor Dr. Mallika Charoensuthasinee, Acting Dean of the School of Science, jointly conducted the naming ceremony for student representatives from all nine academic majors. The ceremony symbolized the students’ official transition into the teaching profession with pride and honor.
In addition to the ceremonial activities, the program also included a briefing on competency assessment guidelines in accordance with the Teachers’ Council of Thailand (Khurusapha) standards, an introduction to the teaching practicum handbook, and a panel discussion on the topic “Smart Teacher: Excellence in Teaching, Outstanding Research, and Ethical Innovation.” The activities were designed to prepare students in both academic competence and professional ethics before entering real school environments.
