School of Education, Walailak University Partners with OBEC to Drive the New 2025 Curriculum and Enhance School Quality
The School of Education at Walailak University organized an academic service project titled “Strategies for Driving the New Primary Education Curriculum B.E. 2568 (2025) toward School Quality” on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. The event was held at Phattharathammaphorn Conference Room, Walailak University Medical Center, and was attended by a large number of school administrators, teachers, and educational personnel.
During the opening ceremony, Assistant Professor Dr. Pongpan Khamparn, Acting Deputy Dean of the School of Education, delivered a report outlining the objectives of the project and emphasized the importance of preparing for the implementation of the new primary education curriculum B.E. 2568 (2025). Associate Professor Dr. Charan Boonkarn, Vice President for Academic Affairs (Humanities and Social Sciences) and Acting Dean of the School of Education, presided over the opening ceremony.
The event was also honored by the presence of Mr. Sanit Nilbut, Director of Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, and Mr. Amnat Sutin, Director of Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, who delivered welcoming remarks and reflected strong collaboration in advancing educational quality at the regional level.
The program was divided into morning and afternoon sessions. In the morning, a lecture on “Driving Academic Affairs toward School Quality” was delivered by Dr. Puriwat Khamai-Kawin, Director of the Bureau of Academic Affairs and Educational Standards under Office of the Basic Education Commission, along with Dr. Somjet Phanprom, Director of the OBEC PISA Center. They shared key strategies for enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in schools.
In the afternoon session, Dr. Jaroonsri Jabtaisong delivered a lecture on “Primary Education Curriculum B.E. 2568 (Grades 1–6)”, explaining the structure, concepts, and key components of the new curriculum, along with practical guidelines for effective implementation in school contexts. The session also provided opportunities for participants to engage in discussions, exchange ideas, and clarify questions to ensure practical application.
This project was organized under the academic service initiative of the School of Education, Walailak University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Meechai Iamjinda as the project director. The initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of teachers and educational personnel to adapt to the new curriculum and improve learning management outcomes in a tangible way.
This event highlights the significant role of the School of Education, Walailak University, as an academic hub dedicated to supporting and developing educators, while driving Thailand’s education system toward sustainable quality.
