The School of Education, Walailak University, upholds cultural faith and traditions by participating in the merit-making ceremony for “Tuad Tumpang” Annual Festival 2026.
On February 10, 2026, the School of Education, Walailak University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Charun Bunyakan, Acting Dean of the School of Education, together with faculty members and staff, participated in the merit-making ceremony for the “Tuad Tumpang Annual Festival 2026.”
The event was organized by the Center for Student Development and Promotion, Walailak University, with the aim of preserving and promoting arts and cultural heritage, while integrating local beliefs into the way of life of the university community.
The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, and was attended by university executives, staff, students, and more than 300 local residents from surrounding communities. The event took place at the Tumpang archaeological site.
This activity reflects the strong collaboration and unity of the university community in conserving, preserving, and promoting local cultural values, which serve as an essential foundation for sustainable social development.
