On February 4, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Charun Boonkarn, Vice President for Academic Affairs (Humanities and Social Sciences) and Acting Dean of the School of Education, Walailak University, presented certificates to School of Education students who successfully passed the teacher professional competency testing and assessment in accordance with the professional standards established by the Teachers’ Council of Thailand. The presentation recognized the students’ achievement and encouraged them as they prepare to enter the teaching profession.

The successful students represented four majors: Thai Language, English, Social Studies, and Dance Education. Passing the professional competency assessment marks an important milestone in their journey toward becoming qualified professional teachers. It demonstrates their development of the knowledge, skills, competencies, and professional readiness required for the teaching profession and prepares them to apply their academic knowledge and practical experiences effectively in real educational settings.
